Birdsong Walk Isabella Plantation

A few people did bottle out at the thunder, rain and hail around 5.00-5.30 pm, but 13 of us were undismayed and had a lovely time listening to the lusty mating season birdsong in the Isabella Plantation, with Och Aye Angus expertly commentating. Azaleas and camellias galore as a bonus, of course. I even cycled there along the river, and the weather improved delightfully, with warm sunshine and balmy breezes. Spectacular sunset as I cycled to meet the others at the pub on Richmond Hill. I was a bit cold when I arrived for our al fresco or rather al frigido meal, and ordered tea with a shot of whisky in it, as they didn’t do mulled wine or cider.

We will walk through the Isabella Plantation (as quietly as possible!) while Angus helps to identify the birdsong.
