Chilterns Aldbury

It was a splendid day out and a wonderful reminder of why we all like walking Perfect Spring weather, blue skies, larks, lambs, rolling English countryside, bluebells and as always the companionship of group members
Train: Euston 8.55, Tring 9.29
Car: Many routes! The AA recommends A41, take the exit to Tring and Northchurch. Continue on B4635 towards Tring. After ¾ mile, at outskirts of Tring turn sharp right onto Station Road. The car park is beyond the station, on the right.
Station Car Park £4.30 on Sundays. Not easy to park nearby.
m We take the Ridgeway over Pitstone Hill, then turn south past Clipper Down, past Moneybury Hill and into Aldbury
pm Aldbury Common, Chiltern Way, Tom’s Hill, Newground Road and along the Grand Union Canal back to Tring Station.
