Train out Victoria 9.25 arrives Hollingbourne 10.31. Back: regular trains from Charing.

Route: 

North Downs Way, a pleasant undulating section. No serious hills, but not flat.

Pubs of Lenham.

Notes: 

Dear Chaps,
For the train tickets, I recommend a full price single to Bromley South (as Margaret suggests) and then a day return from Boundary Zone 6 to Charing (rather than Hollingbourne), otherwise your ticket isn’t valid for returning from Charing.
N.B. every second train from Charing to London doesn’t go to Victoria but St Pancras, and involves changing at Ashford International, and our much cheaper tickets wouldn’t be valid on the high speed train.
