Sunningdale to Windsor

11 members gathered on a sunny spring Friday for a jolly walk through the more salubrious parts of Surrey. We brushed along Royal circles but saw no pregnant princesses and did not feel threatened by Queens and Princes in cars, instead were able to survey handsome castles, deer etc and enjoy regal hospitality in the garden centre. All in all a happy day

After careful consideration and discussion I have decided the North Downs Way is becoming too difficult, the next stretches are overshadowed by motorway and then are too long, with no convenient stations. So for Fridays I will find some linear walks from books, and when I can join you try to find some circular walks that include sections of the North Downs Way, without motorway.
As I will not be able to join you in April I suggest something completely different: Sunningdale to Windsor, no 18 in Time Out Country Walks volume 1. I would be happy to send a photo of the instructions to anyone who has not got the book and would like them. Margaret M
